Area B

AMS1= 0.0032

1-11 mph/ N, NW

  • Area B-Removed equipment
  • Area A- Installed drain and continued grading activities.
    • Area H- Continued to install fence
    • Non-PG&E activities in close proximity.
  • Suspended work in Areas B and A, and evaluated work, weather and wind conditions. Upon reviewing the facts, we determined the elevated readings were likely associated with utility work being performed at a non-PG&E offsite project.

Area A

AMS1= 0.0021

0-4 mph/ E, NE

  • Area A-Continued grading activities in small areas and removed asphalt
    • No soil disturbing activities
  • Suspended work in Area A, and evaluated work, weather and wind conditions.
  • Upon reviewing the facts, we adapted our dust control measures by requiring additional wetting of asphalt before all future asphalt-removal work.

  • Area C/D- Excavation of vegetated buffer area, grading activities throughout site
  • Area A – Placement of aggregate base, grading activities
    • Area B- Continued to remove equipment.
    • Area H- Continued to install the fence
    • Non-PG&E activities in close proximity.
  • Suspended work in Area C/D, and evaluated work, weather and wind conditions. Upon reviewing the facts, we adapted our dust control measures by requiring (1) additional application of water during work days to keep all work area surfaces moist and

(2) application of soiltac at the end of each shift.

  • Suspended work in Area A, and evaluated work, weather and wind conditions. Upon reviewing the facts, we adapted our dust control measures by requiring (1) additional mist guns to be employed to ensure coverage and (2) elevation of mist guns as necessary to ensure mist coverage within work zone.

No Results Above the Trigger Level

Glossary & Notes

  • Trigger level –0.016 structures per cubic centimeter (s/cc). When results above the trigger level necessitate adaptation of on-site dust control measures, work is only resumed in an area once air monitoring results for a full work day demonstrate conditions in the area are back under the trigger level.
  • Air monitoring now takes place on a 24-hour basis. Results are taken beginning at 5 p.m. on the day prior to the day indicated on the chart. For example, data for Friday is measured from 5 p.m. on Thursday to 5 p.m. on Friday.
  • Site maintenance activities such as daily dust mitigation activities, air monitoring activities and storm water management are not listed in the table. Wind direction is relative to plant north (parallel to Evans Ave).
  • On Wednesday, November 2, sampling time for one monitor (AMS4) is "from ~5 pm 11/1 to 3:30 pm 11/2" due to a disruption of power.
